A hike to Man Sands, Brixham – Devon

 In Town & Country

In Devon, my country bumpkin side tends to come out and I seem to embrace the lifestyle of hikes in the countryside and strolls by the sea.

On this walk from Scabbacombe Sands to Man Sands, in Brixham, Devon, you get the best of both worlds…

It’s a pretty strenuous walk with steep rolling hills, but the views are worth the 3 mile trek.

There’s a wealth of wildflowers, remote sandy coves and you can see rolling waves of the sea before you.

We reached Man Sands and marvelled at the simplicity and beauty of our surroundings…

There was only about 5 other people on the entire beach, so we had the lay of the land to ourselves.

So, we took the time to be a bit silly and frolick in the sea…

The walk back if you’re doing a circular route is less scenic as it’s more shaded but there’s still billowing fields surrounding you…
