I took a trip down to Brighton for a short seaside summer stay at Snooze. I’m aiming to make my way round the country to show you all the essentially english things you can do and places you can explore!
I could quite easily say Snooze is the most retro and funky B&B in Brighton! It’s an award winning boutique Hotel, located in Brighton’s cool Kemptown district.
You can choose from six en-suite retro doubles or two super funky 70’s suites, each one comfy, cool & character filled.
We tried to get one of the suites but they were all sold out so we went for room six, which was sartorially seventies styled. Described as an ‘aubergine dream’ with Robin Day recliners, it has awesome artwork, and vintage mirrors – and they even pop lovehearts on the bed for your arrival! Cuuute.
We woke up to the smell of bacon and freshly cooked eggs wafting through the hallways and dashed about to get ready to go to the breakfast room.
We were greeted by an anomaly of authentic artwork, all 70s vibes, splashes of colour at every which way turn.
After brekky, we made our way down to Brighton’s main attractions, the Royal Pavilion, the lanes and the pier…
We stopped off for some shisha at a bar on the sea front and on the way picked up a Jake’s Yard iced coffee and it was dreeeeamy to say the least – competition to monmouth!
We made our way to the pier and marvelled at the jet ski-ers who were doing some serious moves…
This was followed by some serious arcade gaming… we played air hockey and dance mat – my faves! We won’t talk about who won… #soresubject hehe!
Here are some of me attempting to jump though… I blame the photographer 😉
This is me and my proud moment of getting a hole in one! woop woop!
Starved from all the activities, we tried to get ourselves booked in to the fancy seafood restaurant: Riddle & Fins, but they were fully booked 2 months in advance! So, we took to fish’n’chips instead…
Crab cakes with pepper and fennel slaw slathered in sweet chilli sauce…
Sweet caramelised apple iced tea…
We shore did have a great little trip in Brighton and wish it could have been longer! We’ll definitely have to go back to do all of the things we didn’t have time for 🙂
