Fall-ing in love with Autumn Fashion
Autumn or ‘fall fashion’ as it’s more alliteratively known, is a much coveted style by many. It’s a time that just as the change of season, means a change of wardrobe and the scope to be a bit more experimental. You can start to layer up with different materials and textures. And this is what I like to do…
I was in Primark in Manchester the other day when I saw one of the models in the pictures around the store wearing this amazing pleather pinafore in burgundy… as soon as I saw it I ran up to one of the staff and begged them to help me find where it was in the store… the lovely lady ran round with me and there it was… the last size 10 in store hanging up all by itself like it was fate… and at just £10… both me and my bank account were happy!
One of my favourite things to do when I buy new pieces of clothing is to come home and piece together different elements that I think would work well with them and I came up with LOADS. But, the one I fell in love with the most was this…
The top I chose was from Brandy Melville and it’s this really soft material in a washed fine greyish blue white stripe. The colour was neutral enough to complement the pinafore but different enough to lift the outfit. I would recommend wearing a top with sleeves just because it contrasts with the straps of the pinafore.
I threw on two chokers from Brandy Melville for dimension.
I then added my trusty Stuart Weitzman over the knee suede boots to complete the outfit and also keep my legs toasty as I’m still resisting tights!
I think the colours and textures of this outfit scream autumn, with the mix of white grey burgundy and black, and cotton, pleather and suede.
I’ve linked variations of the pieces I’m wearing for different options of prices and places to get them from so check them out!
Also, I’d love for you to comment t how you would style this pinafore – And if you’re a blogger please leave me links to your favourite autumn fashion posts as I’d love to read them!
