Wrapped in Rose Gold
Oh my (rose) gold, I can’t even begin to explain how much I covet this colour. So naturally, when I found pieces of clothing that were rose gold I became pretty obsessed with the fact I could incorporate the colour into my OOTD…
The inspiration actually came from my manicure when I got rose gold chrome gels. I had just had my nails done in that colour and went to do a spot of shopping when I came across this amazing rose gold sparkly turtleneck long sleeved top from New look that matched my nails perfectly and was very fitting for the festive season. The two combined sparked the idea for my OOTD…
I then thought this would work so well paired with my rose gold bracelet from Mulberry for an added accessory.
Obviously, an outfit isn’t complete without a coat/jacket (especially in this bracing british weather!) and I came across this beauty from Monsoon – the feathers and faux fur make it super luxurious but I think when you’re incorporating rose gold into your outfit it’s fur-real gotta be a bit glam! It’s a perfect pinky nude which wraps the rose gold look altogether, giving slightly different tones with the colours as well as textures.
I really like juxtaposing different pieces of clothing together, so adding these ripped high waisted jeans (also from New Look!) gave a good edgy contrast to the luxe look of the tops.
Finally, I wore my Valentino dupes from Asos for my shoes because black goes with everything and the rock studs added that extra edgyness too! And, these complemented my Mulberry lily bag which is a classic as it’s a very timeless piece.
Make up wise I wore the Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita palette which has gorgeous purpley pink gold tones which make blue eyes pop and Candy K lip kit from Kylie Cosmetics as it’s the best nude I’ve ever used.
I styled my hair with the Nume waver for that effortless glam look and with that I hit the town!
Are you also a gal obsessed with rose gold? I’d love to know how you would wear it, or if there are some other rose gold pieces you think I’m missing from my wardrobe in the comments below 🙂
